Indian people speak often of the "seventh generation." In this, they try and make decisions that have long term and, hopefully, positive impact. It is the duty of leadership to conduct government with a vision to the future. Modern Indian leadership , including the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, includes men and women who are well-educated, street wise, computer literate, politically astute and, at the same time, people who are reservation Indians, nurtured and brought up amid the cultural and traditional values of their tribe.
